	INTELLIGENT ANODE			Standard Box
	Only PMI Corrosion Guard water heaters are available with the exclusive patented (U.S. Patent No. 6,932,891 B2) Intelligent Anode technology. The Intelligent Anode has been used successfully for years in the marine industry and in military applications. All Intelligent Anode kits include an Intelligent Anode and a Detector Box. The anode is equipped with a patented probe that is designed to signal when the anode is depleted. The Intelligent Anode can alert owners of a depleted anode via: ●Alarm detector box with beeper and flashing indicator ●Direct link to security system The box is powered by 3 AA batteries with an estimated life of 5 - 7 years. An optional 110V power supply can also be used.
The internal probe senses the presence of anode material. When this has corroded beyond the probe the detection circuit is broken and the monitoring box signals a warning.
	INSTALLATION			Installation is quick and simple: Turn off water supply Drain a quantity of water Remove old anode Install Intelligent Anode Attach monitor box to tank using Velcro Connect green wire to ground (on case) Plug gray wire onto probe in the anode
	OPTIONAL WATER SENSORS Using the Water Sensor Monitor Box, allows two water sensor to be installed. The water sensors are positioned in the vicinity of the water heater to detect any water from the tank or pipe work SEGMENTED ANODES Segmented anodes are also available for units with restricted access.
